Meet the Family: Elizabeth

It's Meet the Family Friday! Today, we spotlight current Upward Scholars student Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is a Guatemalan immigrant completing the ESL pathway at Cañada College. She benefits from many Upward Scholars services including grocery gift cards, textbooks, parking permits, rental assistance through the Student Safety Net Fund, and a laptop. She says, “Upward Scholar has been a fundamental part of my life and has helped me continue with my studies. For me, it is not only a support organization, it is my second family in this country."

Elizabeth says the Upward Scholars family motivates her to continue with her studies and pushes her to conquer her dreams. "You have such an incredible impact on my life. Without your support, I would not be where I am today."
