Eric Takaha
Treasurer
Mr. Takaha serves as a board member, Chair of the Finance Committee, and Treasurer for Upward Scholars. He also serves on the Finance Committees for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area and Catholic Charities San Francisco, as well as Chair of the Investment Sub-Committee for Catholic Charities San Francisco. He has volunteered and served on the boards of other local nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus and passion for those supporting children in need. Mr. Takaha’s family is also a Resource Family (foster family) in San Mateo County. Prior to focusing on the nonprofit arena, Mr. Takaha spent 25 years at Franklin Templeton Investments—most recently as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager—followed by a year at Dignity Health as a Director of Fixed Income Investments. Mr. Takaha earned his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and his MBA from Stanford University.
