Angie Briones
Development Director

Ms. Briones is a second-generation Mexican-American who grew up in El Paso, Texas, on the US-Mexico border. She has lived in Silicon Valley for over 30 years. Growing up in a large, low-income household, Angie learned at a young age the value of education as the only way out of poverty. She and seven of her siblings are first-generation college students who were lifted out of poverty and achieved upward mobility through higher education. As a lifelong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Angie has secured millions of dollars for programs that promote education, employment, and economic mobility for children and families, immigrants, and other marginalized groups from low-income households. She is a strategic thought partner, experienced grant writer, seasoned development professional, and the former Director of Grantmaking & Strategic Initiatives for the Castellano Family Foundation. She has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Master's in Public Administration from San José State University.
